March 31 at 0:40 am local time, after over five hours of strenuous efforts, the Chinese Search and Rescue team successfully rescued a female trapped for nearly 60 hours at the Great Wall Hotel in Mandalay. The female, under stable conditions when rescued, became the first survivor rescued by the Chinese Search and Rescue team since its arrival in Mandalay, the worst-hit area in the earthquake. Additionally, the rescue work was performed in collaboration with Myanmar’s local rescue forces, the Shenzhen Rescue Volunteers Federation, and the Russian rescue teams.
