Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Holds Briefing on the Spirit of China’s “Two Sessions” 2026 and the First Quarter China-Myanmar Media Tea Party

On March 26th, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar held the Briefing on the Spirit of China’s “Two Sessions” 2026 and the First Quarter China-Myanmar Media Tea Party. Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia, officials from Myanmar’s Ministry of Information, representatives from over 20 Chinese and Myanmar media outlets, think tanks, academia, and business associations attended the event. Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Zheng Zhihong presided over the event.

Ambassador Ma Jia introduced China’s major achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Focusing on developing new quality productive forces, promoting high-quality development, advancing common prosperity for all people, expanding high-standard opening-up, and implementing the Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law, she offered an in-depth interpretation of the spirit of the “Two Sessions” and the “15th Five-Year Plan”. She emphasized that China will share opportunities for common development with other countries. China is willing to strengthen strategic alignment with Myanmar, jointly implement the four Global Initiatives, advance high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and promote the steady and long-term development of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.

The event was warmly received, and the participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on new quality productive forces, green development, economic and trade investment, ethnic unity, the current international landscape, and the next stage of China-Myanmar cooperation.
