From August 9th to 13th, a 13‑member delegation comprising officials from Myanmar’s Ministry of Information and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and journalists, visited Kunming and Dali in Yunnan Province.

During the visit, the delegation held in-depth discussions with the Radio and Television Bureau of Yunnan Province, Yunnan Media Group, and Yunnan Daily Press Group on topics such as integrated media development and international communication capacity building. They inspected the Dali Erhai Lake Ecology Landscape Corridor, flower trading markets, international trade cities and other sites to gain insights into China’s progress in ecological civilization construction, modern commercial logistics, historical and cultural preservation, and ethnic unity.

Delegation members spoke highly of China’s achievements in green development, media innovation, and high-standard opening-up. They expressed willingness to serve as a bridge to deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and media cooperation between the two countries, thereby contributing to the enduring China-Myanmar “Pauk-Phaw” friendship.

On the sidelines of the visit, Yunnan Media Group signed an agreement with Myanmar’s Ministry of Information to donate the TV drama She and Her Girls, the documentary China on the Chain: Connecting the World, and multiple short dramas to MRTV, YTV and Myawaddy TV, respectively, for broadcasting.
