On June 26, Ambassador Chen Hai held a video conference with Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Than Sin Maung. Chief of Political Department Yu Dan from the Embassy and Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport and Communications U Win Khant also attended the conference.

      Both sides agreed that China-Myanmar railway cooperation is of great significance to promoting connectivity between the two countries and promoting Myanmar's economic and social development. The two sides will actively deliver the outcomes of the feasibility study of Muse-Mandalay Railway which was conducted by China and Myanmar railway institutions and exchanged during the state visit of President Xi Jinping at the beginning of this year and coordinate the pre-feasibility study of Mandalay-Kyauk Phyu Railway, laying a foundation for the early launch of relevant projects.

    Both sides spoke highly of the opening of China-Myanmar "fast-track lane" and agreed that they will continue to help the personnel in commerce and investment and technical professionals return to work so as to ensure the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor cooperation.
