Notice on the Implementation of Online Arrival Card Filling for Foreign Nationals
2025-11-28 18:25

To further facilitate travel for foreign nationals visiting China, as of November 20, 2025, Chinese entry-exit ports have implemented Online Arrival Card Filing for foreign nationals.

Foreign nationals may fill in the relevant entry information online before coming to China through the official website and government service platform of the National Immigration Administration (NIA), the “NIA 12367” APP and WeChat/Alipay mini program, or by scanning the QR code via mobile phone (the filing website link and QR code are provided below). Foreign nationals who cannot fill in the information online in advance may complete the process upon arriving at the immigration inspection site at Chinese ports of entry by scanning the QR code of the Arrival Card via mobile phone, using the smart devices on site, or filling out a paper-based Arrival Card.

Foreign nationals falling into any of the following seven categories are exempt from filing in: Holders of a valid Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the People’s Republic of China; Holders of a valid Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (non-Chinese Citizens); Holders of a group visa or those eligible for group visa-free entry; Passengers in 24-hour direct transit who stay within the designated area of the port; Cruise passengers entering and departing on the same vessel; Travelers entering through the E-channel; Foreign crew members of exit-entry transport vehicles.
