China and Myanmar are traditional friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, and the two peoples have enjoyed amicable Pauk-Phaw friendship. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1950, the bilateral relations between China and Myanmar have developed steadily as is witnessed by fruitful exchanges and cooperation in all areas. The two countries established a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership in June, 2011. In 2020, President Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Myanmar and the leaders of the two countries agreed to build a China-Myanmar Community with a Shared Future, which marked that the bilateral relations have entered a new era. Together with all walks of life across China and Myanmar, we are willing to continuously implement the consensus and outcomes reached during President Xi Jinping’s visit to Myanmar, promote new development in bilateral relations and inject new vitality to the traditional Pauk-Phaw friendship while jointly building a China-Myanmar Community with a Shared Future.
